Ceramics artist Eva Bedolla likes to create beautiful art pottery for everyday living that is also practical in its use. Rather than relying on "plastic and mass produced objects," Eva says, "there is meaning behind a single piece created for giving joy." Eva finds her inspiration from all around – in colors, shapes, needs, and requests – whatever gives her that "aha!" moment. She begins by drawing up a sketch, and then constructing the piece.
She particularly enjoys creating work that feels good in your hands, and chooses colors to convey a specific mood. Eva's accomplishments include receiving a Napa Valley College art scholarship in ceramics, a Best of Show award at the Napa Valley Expo for table mosaic, and an invitation to exhibit ceramic pieces at the Cakebread Cellars Food & Wine Event and was juried to participate in the 2013 Open Studios in Napa, California. Eva and her husband Patrick O'Gara create their pottery at their home studio. |
